This Contributing Writer Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into between The Massive Jamaica (“Platform”) and any Contributing Writer (“Writer”) for our platform.
By becoming a Contributing Writer to The Massive Jamaica platform, all writers acknowledge and agree that all content published by the platform is the exclusive property of The Massive Jamaica. The Platform retains the rights to reproduce, distribute, and modify the content as deemed necessary. Any party seeking to reproduce or use the content originally published on this platform must provide appropriate credit and obtain explicit permission from The Massive Jamaica.
All Contributing Writers are required to adhere to our strict no profanity policy when creating content for the platform. Contributing Writers must ensure that their work is free from any explicit, offensive, or inappropriate language. Writers who consistently violate this policy may face penalties, including a permanent ban from producing content for The Massive Jamaica.
All contributing writers must conform to The Massive Jamaica Article Writing Guidelines when creating content for the platform. These guidelines outline the preferred style, formatting, and quality standards for articles published on the platform. Any violation of these guidelines may result in the rejection of the article and potential suspension or termination of the contributing writer’s privileges.
The Massive Jamaica reserves the right to edit, modify, or revise contributed content for clarity, coherence, grammar, formatting, and adherence to the platform’s standards. The contributing writer acknowledges that such edits are within the platform’s discretion and may be made without seeking additional approval.
Contributing writers represent and warrant that the content they submit is original, does not infringe upon any copyright or intellectual property rights of third parties, and has not been previously published elsewhere. Any liability arising from copyright infringement or misrepresentation of originality rests solely with the contributing writer.
All contributing writers understand and acknowledge that their contributions are voluntary and do not entitle them to monetary compensation or remuneration. However, The Massive Jamaica compensates contributing writers by providing exposure through the platform’s social media channels and email campaigns if their pieces are selected for publishing. This exposure serves as a means of showcasing the writer’s work to a wider audience and promoting their skills and expertise.
The contributing writer acknowledges that they may gain access to confidential or proprietary information about The Massive Jamaica during their engagement. The writer agrees to keep such information confidential and not disclose it to any third party, unless required by law.
The contributing writer agrees to indemnify and hold The Massive Jamaica and its affiliates harmless against any claims, demands, costs, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising out of or related to the writer’s submitted content, including but not limited to copyright infringement, defamation, or any other legal violations.
The Massive Jamaica reserves the right to terminate the contributing writer’s access and privileges on the platform at any time and for any reason, without prior notice. The writer also has the right to terminate their participation as a contributing writer by providing a written notice to The Massive Jamaica.
This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which The Massive Jamaica operates. Any disputes arising from or relating to this agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that jurisdiction.
By applying to become a contributing writer, the Writer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree.
